Parent Volunteers Needed

Pack 4652 is entirely run by volunteer parents, and our pack keeps growing every year — which means we need more hands to keep the adventure going. If your scout is having fun, consider giving a little time back. No experience is required, and BSA provides free training for every role.

Den Leader

Lead your scout's den through monthly activities and rank requirements. The most direct way to shape your child's Scouting experience.

  • Plan Meetings: Organize fun, one-hour activities, games, and crafts based on grade-level adventures.
  • Track Progress: Record completed badge and rank requirements using tools like Scoutbook.
  • Partner with Parents: Coordinate shared leadership (especially for younger Lion and Tiger ranks) and communicate meeting schedules.
  • Attend Meetings: Participate in monthly pack leader meetings and help run pack events.
  • Be a Role Model: Teach good character and guide children by the Scout Oath and Law.

Committee Positions

Roles that keep the pack running behind the scenes.

  • Advancement Chair: Tracks badge/rank progress, orders loops and pins, and organizes recognition ceremonies.
  • New Member Coordinator / Recruitment Chair: Welcomes new families, drives school night sign-ups, and guides retention.
  • Fundraising / Popcorn Kernel: Coordinates money-earning projects like the annual popcorn sale.
  • Activity / Event Coordinators: Manages specific annual functions like the Pinewood Derby, Blue and Gold banquet, or camping trips.

Other Pack Needs

Not ready for an ongoing role? There's still plenty of ways to help.

  • Event Setup & Breakdown: Help set up and break down for pack events and activities.
  • Event Logistics: Lend a hand with the behind-the-scenes details that make events run smoothly.
  • Assistant Den Leaders: Support a Den Leader with meetings and activities.

Good to know: there are no pack dues for adult volunteers, and BSA registration fees for all volunteers are paid by the pack. Every role comes with free, detailed training from BSA.
